Location
Llaves Ranch is located in northwest New Mexico just a few miles south of Llaves. Cuba, New Mexico is just 30 minutes and offers the closest grocery store. Albuquerque is 2 hours and offers air service from all major airlines.

The north ranch has a really good set of pipe corrals and some barns that need work to make functional. It is fully fenced with fair to good barbed wire fences. There is an older home that needs some work but can be habitable. There is also a really neat old homestead cabin that is in good condition and has power to it.

The south ranch has some old wood corrals, and an old barn that with a little work can be functional. It is fully fenced with fair to good barbed wire fences.
Together the north and south ranches allow the owners to hunt both GMU 5a nad 5b.
The north ranch sits in GMU 5b and offers excellent hunting. The current owners have taken numerous deer and elk on the property over the years. Currently, the ranch has received 1 bull and 1 cow voucher, and mule deer tags are over the counter. There were 2 very nice bulls taken on neighboring ranches in 2020 that were in the 330-370 class. Tremendous deer are taken in the area every year (ask to see photo of deer taken on ranch to south).
The south ranch sits right along the line between GMU 5a and 5b sitting entirely in unit 5a. The ranch gets its name because the topography creates the perfect secluded hideaway for game. Deer and elk us the ranch for protection and forage. Currently, the ranch has received 1 bull and 1 cow voucher and 2 rifle and 2 bow vouchers for deer. There were 2 very nice bulls taken on neighboring ranches in 2020 that were in the 330-370 class. Tremendous deer are taken in the area every year.
Electric power is available from the property boundary line and water is provided by several surface tanks.
