The ranch has highway frontage on State Highway 84 south of Cebolla, NM with a caliche driveway to ranch house.
Elevation, Topography, Vegetation
Starting at an elevation of about 7,400 feet the ranch terrain offers hills, draws, ravines, and valleys rising to an elevation of about 7,700 feet at the highest point. The hills are covered in juniper, oak brush, and pions which open to grass-covered valleys.

Cebolla is improved with a beautiful 3,100 +/- sq ft 3 bedroom, 3 bath home with 10 foot ceilings throughout. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. The home has in-floor radiant heat and 2 wood-burning fireplaces/stoves for heating. An attached oversized 3 car garage offers plenty of space for parking vehicles, toys, and workshop space. John Hayter has a lifetime of experience in the land and ranch industry as he was born and raised to a long line of pioneering Texas ranchers. John began his career as a 6th generation rancher in 1997 as president of Slash J Ranch Enterprises, Inc. In 2004 as his reputation and experience grew, John took on another role; that of a real estate broker specializing in ranch sales. John has extensive experience in water rights, mineral rights, wildlife management, range management, and marketing and sales of ranches ranging in size from a couple hundred acres to over 12,000 acres. Having been raised on a ranch, it was natural for John to have a deep connection to the land and nature. As a boy, he enjoyed tromping across the mountains, hunting small game and fishing with his grandfather. Later on John became a passionate hunter and fisherman. John has hunted all over the West and taken numerous big game trophies with rifle, muzzleloader and bow from Texas to Alaska. John holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Wildlife Management with a minor in Equine Science and is a licensed real estate broker in Texas, New Mexico and Colorado. He has numerous web design and development certifications and broad web programming experience. John is a member of the National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club and founding Member Owner of The Land Broker Co-op.
