The Nations Place is located along County Road 260 (good gravel road) in the Western part of the county. This tract has a 22+/- Corps watershed lake, good road system, food plots, some mature timber, and a great place to build a lodge overlooking the lake. Westervelt Wildlife Services (Demopolis, Alabama) prepared a written management plan in 2011 and started implementing some forestry/wildlife management practices. Approx 75 acres are in pine planation timber that needs thinning. The remainder of the tract in pine was lightly thinned in 2012 and is in great growing condition and looks really good. There is hardwood timber around the lake and along the drains that provide excellent winter mast. According to the Sellers, deer and turkey are abundant on the tract. There are a lot of white and red oaks on the slopes and along the drains that provide acorns for the deer, turkeys, and other wildlife and there are thick areas for bedding and nesting. This is a good recreational/investment tract located close to Oxford that will provide years of family fun and enjoyment and still provide income now or in the future.
