I grew up learning to farm from the young age of 10. Working on the farm raising registered Polled Hereford cattle taught me about how ones work affects others and makes a difference. By the time I was a teenager, I had bought several cattle of my own and was in charge of a herd of around 50 to 60 head eventually becoming a 4-H Honor club member. Working with your hands on the farm gives you a sense of accomplishment and an admiration for hard work. I attended college at Mississippi State University and also began a career in the world of manufacturing. I had 30+ years of experience in the supply chain function of several different industries leading teams of people and gaining great insight into different businesses and negotiation.
