When I got the call to check out this property I got goosebumps because I know the area well and I know what the area has to offer in terms of big deer. The property did not disappoint either. At first glance from the road, it seemed the land was going to be wet and unnavigable. I pulled over the truck, strapped on the boots, and headed in. Much to my surprise, it was dry. So dry in fact I unloaded the gator and drove around the property just fine. The deer sign was thick and I flushed several grouse as well. Located close to several tracts of land I have sold in the past and the history of the Hillview/Sebeka area, I know this property is located in the heart of some of the best if not the best hunting in the state of Minnesota. Although the property does not have much for a food source other than browse and few oak trees what it lacks in food it makes up for in cover. Given the choice I would take cover all day over food. Big deer love to feel secure. Add in the fact there is public land across the road for added hunting enjoyment and ag fields in close proximity to this property makes this property a no-brainer!!
