Whitetail numbers in the area are impressive and average size ranges from 140s- 150s. There is also Mule deer on the ranch occasionally.
The owners have kept corn feeders out year round to help maintain a healthy population of deer and quail.
The Blue Quail hunting on this ranch can be exceptional and Bobwhite quail hunting is really good as well. The quail numbers on the right year are truly impressive for the size of the ranch.
Other wildlife in the area consists of hogs, coyotes, bobcats and other varmints.
With larger Ranches neighboring this property and the cultivation in the area this offers you with good opportunities to be able to hunt with low pressure on wildlife in the area.

Native Pasture:
Typical native pastures in this area have Mesquite, Ephedra (Mormons Tea), SideOats Grama, Bluestem, Tabosa grass, Yucca, Lotebush and curly Mesquite grass. On years when rainfall is good It is not uncommon in the native pastures to see a strong stand of native forbs such as Filaree and Rescue grass covering the ground in the pastures and providing a high Protein food source to wildlife and livestock.
Easements:
There currently are two underground pipelines and two utility easements on the ranch. There is also an easement in place on one road for ingress & egress to monitor flow lines that cross the very Northeast corner of the ranch but the pumper very seldom uses this road as there is access to view these lines from across the fence.
