The large timber, thickets, small food plots and surrounding farm and timber ground provide outstanding habitat for the big Tensas parish deer. There are numerous trails through the tract to help access every part. A number of smaller food plots are scattered throughout the tract along with many deer stands.
The natural sloughs offer some great duck hunting! Water control structures are to be installed (possibly in summer of 2016) to allow you manage water depth in the timber. The sloughs are easy to access from trails and main road so you can walk right in and set up in just a few minutes. The adjoining shallow water areas and sloughs on north end hold and attract ducks all winter.
A deeded access is shown on the map. It is crowned and graveled in most places.
Additional acres are available if you want a bigger place.
