Blue Ridge Mountain Equestrian Facility
For equestrians who have a love of their horses and also yearn for a piece of the Mountains, this facility just might be the one for you. The mountains can be seen from the pastures, and the beautiful wealth of forests in the front and the rear of the property are not easy to replicate.
The current owner is a trainer and has created a professional equestrian facility with two arenas, 4 pastures and 4 paddocks, gazebo for viewing training, and 3 separate barns. There is plenty of pasture for rotation of horses, including dry lots for the easy keepers.
The main barn has a center aisle, with 4 boxed and matted stalls, wash room, tack, office, feed room and overhead loft for 250 bales of hay. There is additional hay or machinery storage at the side of the barn that is suitable for 3 more stalls.

There are 2 new barns (2010 and 2009) at each end of the main sand arena with 4 matted stalls each, 4 of these stalls in one barn convert to 2 foaling stalls, if needed. This arena (80 x 150) has lighting and has sand over a compacted base. The secondary arena (80 x 110) has grass footing and is fenced with 4 rails of Flex Fence. There is a round pen with stone dust footing between the lighted arena and the barn.
The home is delightfully well-kept with full heated basement. There are 3 bedrooms, l.5 baths, and two wood burning fireplaces, one in living room, one in basement. Home has a railed front porch, and a courtyard with brick columns off dining area which overlooks the arenas and barns. Beautiful trees abound, and for your canine companions, there is even a fenced dog yard off the garage.
Mt. Airy is the epitome of nostalgia and is the birthplace of Andy Griffith. It is close to wineries, the interstate and many tourist areas near the Blue Ridge Mts.
Everyone dreams of a Mt Airy living environment. Here your spot is already to go, nothing to add except leaving daily stresses at the property line.
