The Simmons Farm is located just north of Clinton, Arkansas and settled in the heart of the Boston Mountains. This property has been managed for wildlife for 5+ years and offers some of the best year round hunting opportunities in the area. Caves, ponds, hardwoods and rolling pasture ground, make this property truly unique. There are two food plots totaling 15 acres, which are planted in corn yearly to provide the perfect habitat for turkey and deer. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of managed, mixed hardwoods, this property sits upon three ridges. Each ridge has a bear baiting station and pond to provide water in the hills year round. One mature boar bear has been harvested from this property every season, and plenty more encounters occur throughout the year. Caves and bluffs provide beneficial areas where these black bears can hibernate and populate the area.
There are ample amount of turkeys using this property daily. The 3 high ridges provide great roosting spots while the food plots and trails make for active strutting zones. Multiple turkeys are harvested from this property every year and there is a great population in the surrounding area. This property has been used for youth hunts in the past and has a great track record for producing monster Toms.
This Farm has been using Quality Deer Management techniques for 5 years to manage and sustain trophy whitetail deer. Several 140+ bucks have been taken off the property each fall and new deer frequent the property daily. There is one large box stand on the 14 acre corn field and many other stands strategically placed throughout the mixed hardwood trails. Variation in elevation and habitat make this property a hotspot for deer.
If you enjoy river life, the Middle Fork Little Red River provides some of the best small mouth bass fishing around.
