This is definitely one of the nicest tracts in the Spreading Winge development. There are beautiful mature trees along the Stillwater River and half way up the five acres. Here you even have your own sandy beach, because the river curves a little right at the tip of the property. Part of the lost is sub-irrigated and stays green most of the year!
From the property you have a view of Mount Wood, which is the second highest peak in Montana. This huge mountain always wears a white glacier cap while the peak looks like a cherry on top. The foothills of Mount Wood are the spectacular Beartooth Mountain Range featuring palisades, which are sedimentary rock walls standing straight up and look like the scales on the back of a dinosaur, throwing shadows on the mountains.

To the North East you will be dazzled by the cliffs of the Stillwater Canyon. Straight to the north across the water you are protected from the wind by a sandy hill and nobody will ever build there, so privacy is guaranteed on your beach.
There is a very nice restaurant in Dean which is about 4 miles up the road. To get the bare necessities, Nye features the "Nye Mall" which is a convenient store that has one of everything, including movie rentals. Just before you get to the Volunteer Fire Station, you come to the post office where a small wooden sign has the telltale words inscribed: "Entering and Leaving Nye."
To get into the National Forest take Hwy 419 West past the Big Horn Sheep wintering range and the waterfall in the mountains to the very end. There you have a spectacular hiking and riding trail following the Stillwater River for 26 miles all the way into the Yellowstone Park. You can also hike up to the waterfall and stand behind it - it is about two miles mostly uphill to get there. If you have guests, the National Forest maintains a campground right there, bring your fishing rods! The Stillwater is one of the few Blue Ribbon Trout Streams in the world!
If you are interested in the illustrious past of Nye, I posted a page entitled History of Nye, which tells about Nye during the mining era.
