Check out the drone video to get a sense of this mountainside retreat on beautiful Stanley Creek. You're dealing directly with the property owner so contact me if you want a larger parcel up to 374+- acres total. East-facing slopes and a beautiful knob overlook the creek providing a scenic location for your mountain home. Access via two-lane county-maintained road transitioning to a one-lane gravel road improved for 2x4 vehicle access the full length of the road to the north property line (see photos of the ford creek crossing and cable gate being the northeast boundary and property access to the larger parcel). Several acres of good bottom land property might be opened up as pasture or cropland by clearing. Stanley Creek is beautiful as per the photos. The property interior offers a trail system with ATV, quad, or Jeep trails. Ideal recreation and retreat property. This land is surrounded by thousands of acres of large, private farms and institutionally-held hardwood timber forests to the north and east. The Citizens Natural Gas pipeline runs through a portion of the property and mineral rights convey; Scott County contains dozens of natural gas wells and oil wells (no operating gas or oil wells on this property). Hardwood timber on the land averages 20+- years in age. Fish or hunt abundant game on this expansive mountain which is truly a paradise for the outdoorsman or naturalist. Deer, elk, bear and turkey are in this valley. The photos of elk and bear were taken by game cameras on the 374 acres. Take a drive to look at the land and you'll know you've reached the property when you see orange "POSTED" signs with black letters and orange surveying flags. Park at the cable gate and take a walk over the land after making your appointment with the landowner. TOUR AT YOUR OWN RISK-by entering the property you agree to be responsible for your actions and choices and use due caution on the land. Cellular service is marginal in eastern Scott County, so recommend a "We Boost" for your cell phone or a base extender for better service from your home or RV on the property.
Convenient to Big South Fork National Recreation Area, Big South Fork Airpark at Scott County Airport, Lake Norris, and ATV riding in Royal Blue or Brimstone. You can ride your ATV all the way to Kentucky on old trails and gravel public roads or to the adjoining county to the east from this site. Build your dream estate or vacation home here to enjoy unlimited views; this property is completely unrestricted so you can do whatever the law allows on your giant playground. Research Parcel InformationGoogle maps enter: "Stanley Creek Rd Oneida, TN." Please take a look at the photos that begin at the intersection of Buffalo Rd and Stanley Creek Rd at Mt Zion Baptist Church. From that intersection, take a right onto Stanley Creek Rd (or a left if you approach the property from Oneida headed southeast on Buffalo Rd) and follow the road as it winds to the north past the new bridge. Proceed on Stanley Creek Rd north for 2.5 miles as the road transitions to a one-lane gravel road and look for orange surveying flagging and "posted" signs where the property begins (you will see a large field to your right just before the southeast property line-this is where the property joins Stanley Creek Rd). Continue north and proceed past the Citizens Gas pipeline (pipe valve is adjacent to the road and the valve assembly is fenced with chain link). At this point, Stanley Creek parallels the road very close to the roadbed. The northeast property line and cable gate entrance is 320 feet north of the Citizens Gas pipeline right-of-way and valve assembly (see photos for additional references).
