The 7 Mountain Ranch location is perfect to catch the Elk migrating through the area. Elk move to the secluded draws, leading into the adjacent BLM canyons, that provide bedding cover. The ranch is located in an area well known for quality game, and Unit 14a has OTC elk tags available.

MULE DEER

The area is known for some great Mule Deer bucks. Mature bucks will appear on the property more frequently as the rut intensifies during November. The rolling terrain with open meadows surrounded by trees, along with hidden stock ponds, make for great archery and rifle hunting. The ranch qualifies for Landowner Mule Deer tags (1-5 tags per year), and general Mule Deer tags can be drawn with minimal preference points (0-2). There are Unit-Wide Mule Deer permits (number eligible for based on acreage; max of 5 permits), and Private-Land-Only Mule Deer permits (number eligible for based on acreage; first come, first serve, OTC). The property is currently participating in the local CWMU (Cooperating Wildlife Management Unit), however the new owner does not have to participate.
