I walked this property last summer when the seller had thoughts of selling and saw a couple wood ducks in the beaver pond area as well as active beaver sign. While walking it this time, I kicked up several deer. I also saw several smaller furbearer tracks. With the mix of high ground, low ground, beaver pond, beaver dams, islands, etc. this property has a mixture of everything making it ideal for someone wanting to do a little bit of everything. The southern area has a nice ridge that runs predominately east to west and I saw a couple locations that would be perfect for clearing out some trees and making a spot to shoot some clay pigeons from an elevated position as the hill drops away over some lower lands. This area of St. Louis County is also in prime lake country! There are several great small to mid-sized lakes within minutes of this property. In fact, a half mile away or so is Young Lake. It is an unimproved access but would be great for a small boat, canoeist, or kayaker to get out and enjoy some peaceful Northwoods water.
