If youre looking for your own private valley with a spring, this could be your paradise. The 130 wooded acres on a little traveled town road is great but when its just a minute or two from a county highway, access is quick and convenient.
A well maintained trail system starts at the bottom of a valley near a 3 bedroom, 1 bath rustic farm house. This home is currently rented but would make a perfect hunting cabin or second home. The trail then passes by one of two water sources on the property. This spring supplies water for the house and forms a small stream as it leaves the property. A classic red barn also stands near the home and is ideal for storage.

A short distance beyond the barn, the valley widens into a gently sloping bowl. This was once tilled but some time ago was planted in walnut trees to provide income for a future generation. This area is currently in the Managed Forest Law program as well as Conservation Reserve Program but both expire in a few years and this basin would be a fine secluded building site. The CRP currently provides $3118 per year which more than pays for the taxes.
From this basin, trails branch in several directions. One heads south up a gentle slope through hardwoods to a ridge top pine plantation. At the south end of the parcel, a second road touches the property making a suitable location for a ridge top home (after the programs have expired) if that is your preference or providing dual access allowing you to split the property with a friend.
Another trail from the central basin gives access to an east ridge. This is a wide ridge top that once was tilled but now is grown up making great wildlife cover and could be opened up for a nice wildlife food plot. From this central ridge, several wooded fingers reach towards the surrounding valleys.
Hunting, hiking, horseback riding or simply observing nature, this property could satisfy your needs. Be aware that it is definitely not a drive by property as the view from the road belies the beauty that waits, but please make an appointment before you enter.
