Water on the ranch is shallow and plentiful. The ranch is well watered by a domestic well equipped with a submersible electric motor and pump furnishing water for a pipeline with large metal drinking tubs and a dirt tank by each of the drinking tubs for overflow. Water is piped under the Mine Canyon Road to water livestock and wildlife on the part of the ranch located on the west side of Mine Canyon Road.

There is a useable set of combination steel, wood and wire pens on the ranch for handling livestock. Fences are good on the ranch which is fenced into three pastures.

The ranch has sandy soils with several varieties of grasses. Predominate grasses on the ranch are Blue Grama, Side Oats Grama, Sand Drop Seed and Little Blue Stem.

Located between Tucumcari and Logan, New Mexico and back north of Hwy 54 on Mine Canyon Road is the 12 Shores Development which adjoins the north side of the area of the ranch situated on the west side of Mine Canyon Road.

12 Shores Development adjoins the south side of Ute Lake.
