Pulaski County is in the southernmost part of Illinois, and is in the middle of major waterfowl wintering grounds, like Casche River State Natural Area, Mermet Refuge, Cypress Creek National Wildlife Refuge, all which hold thousands of migrating ducks and geese annually. The big ones though that make this a great waterfowl farm is Ballard County Kentucky Refuge and Horseshoe Lake Refuge in Illinois. The Ballard Refuge is only 3+/- miles directly south of this property, putting waterfowl heading south to Ballard right over the top of this farm, and Horseshoe is only a few miles to the southwest.

The habitat on this farm is perfect, with a nice levy structure that holds plenty of water to attract and hold ducks. There is 24+/- acres of corn planted here annually, and is a magnet for hungry fowl, and blinds are in place all over the farm. There is a ditch runs through the property that holds the water used to pump into the low areas for hunting.

This property has been hunted for years and has a solid duck/goose kill history, and with the improvements currently being made to the property, it will get even better.

When you look at the aerial, you may not realize how good the deer and turkey hunting is here. A large part of this property is planted in young trees, and they are 10ft. to 25ft. tall, and are THICK! This is perfect habitat for a bruiser buck to call home, and this area is known to hold some giants. There is a box blind in place with a nice clover food plot, and I assure you there are some thumpers on this property! There are also plenty of mature trees to get a stand in that double as great roosting trees for turkey.

In my 5+ trips touring this property, I have seen turkey every time. One of the PFRG land specialists turkey hunted there this spring, and heard gobbling from multiple birds every time he hunted.

This farm has it all; ducks, deer and turkey, and farms that have quality hunting for the big 3 are hard to find, especially at this very affordable price.
