As you enter the main building complex, the first building is the garage. This is a 24 x 30 structure with overhead door bays with a concrete floor interior.  It is heated and has a 220 amp main breaker for all your maintenance needs.

The next two buildings are identical structures. Fawn and Eagle lodges are aesthetically beautiful structures that blend well with the landscape. You are greeted by a great hall concept upon entering with high cathedral ceilings and a gorgeous stone fireplace.  The spacious kitchen is built to cook for the 32 person capacity of each of these lodges.  Each feature the main room, dining room, seating areas, and bunk rooms on each wing of the building.  There are separate sleeping quarters rooms for adults.  There are bathroom and shower facilities in each bunkroom wing.  The buildings are a concrete slab on grade with radiant floor heating.  An oil fired boiler provides the balance of heating needs.  The attached covered rear deck provides a beautiful view down into the forest and overlooks the fire circle and outdoor dining area.  As an added feature, there is a stone fireplace located on the deck!

The capstone facility to this complex is the Eberly Family Learning Center. This incredible facility is 7,119 sf in size and is both a program and overnight facility.  With meeting rooms, office space and commercial kitchen on the upper level, and full kitchen and bunk rooms on the lower level, this building has a capacity of 51 users on the upper level and 20 on the lower level.  The centerpiece to the upper level is a magnificent 2 sided stone fireplace laid in Frank Lloyd Wright style in the dry stack method of construction.

The upper level contains a lovely carpeted amphitheater area, greenhouse, great hall for large meetings and events, multiple rooms used currently as a nurse’s office, library, science lab, storage, restroom, showers and more. The large commercial kitchen space has plenty of room to feed a capacity crowd.

Built with many “green” building concepts, this property has radiant heat underneath the beautiful hardwood floors and floors are finished in an organic citrus sealer. The building is laid out to capture maximum solar, allowing for both heat gains during the cold and maximum natural lighting.  The gable ends are constructed with 20 inch thick compressed straw bales constrained in wire and plaster.  There is a window in the amphitheater area where a cross-section of this construction can be seen.  Heat from the attached greenhouse is used to supplement heat to the main building.  Engineered wood beams create a beautiful texture to the main floor.  Composting toilets eliminate the need for water in flushing.

The rear deck of the building spans the entire structure and overlooks the forest below. There is a stone terrace below, ideal for outdoor picnics and gatherings.

Site 1 is accessed from White School Road and is a remote area that contains 2 beautiful ponds and a pavilion. The ponds have plenty of fish and the best fishing spots are easily accessed from shore or extend a dock for more opportunities!  The ponds are large enough for canoes, kayaks and smaller boats.  They are set in a completely forested area.

Site 2 has multiple access points from County Road 4. The main access leads back to a pavilion area with water and a small shed for storage.  A mix of pines and hardwoods are found here, creating a lovely setting for remote camping or day use trips.  Trails emanate from this area and other parts of the property that lead to another key feature within Site 2.  Big Sandy Creek is a stunning, full-time flowing stream and there is more than 4,800 feet of direct frontage owned on both sides of this stream!  The ability to boat and fish it most anytime is truly a great feature to this property!  Also located in this area is the Lou Henry Hoover Nature Sanctuary where a hidden pond, wildflower preserve, Indian Spring and Chapel Rock is found.
