Buck Creek Ranch has been strictly managed for mature whitetail hunting over the last 7 years. The ranch has many trophy class deer and hunting has been all about harvesting for age. The lodge is open with a large industrial kitchen with a commercial stove for cooking and entertaining guests. With a wall of windows to the East and a massive covered back porch with a guitar shaped firepit you can spend your mornings and evenings watching deer filter in and out of the fields as they graze. The lodge water source is fed from a live spring on Bald Mountain and it has been a reliable clean water source for many years. Buck Creek itself has mature oak and pecan creek bottoms and is nearly 2 miles in length on the property. This full time creek provides a plentiful water source for native wildlife and in the high season some great recreation in a canoe or kayak. In addition to the creek there are several ponds on the property. The largest centrally located on the ranch is a great spot to hunt waterfowl in the fall. The mammoth Bald Mountain encompasses the east side of the ranch. Atop it, one can see for miles and there are boundless opportunities for hunting, hiking, four-wheeling, horseback riding and camping. The ranch has a good system of roads that allows for access throughout the ranch, including the crest of the mountain with pine forests and views that rival Colorado.
