In addition to hiking opportunities (Appalachian Trail & Pleasant River Walk), Brownville is situated between Sebec Lake and Schoodic Lake, which are both drained by Pleasant River. Running from north to south of the town, Pleasant River provides ample opportunities for fishing (bass, trout, perch, sunfish, etc.), boating, canoeing, kayaking, and more!
