Climate, Elevation and Vegetation
This area has a mild climate with Summer highs in the mid 90s and Winter lows in the mid 30s. Precipitation averages 16 inches per year. The elevation varies from 3,900 to 5,000 feet above sea level. The topography consists of rolling ridges with open valleys on a north to south alignment. The vegetation is a Madrean Oak Grassland consisting of numerous native perennial grasses with scattered oak trees.
Water
The Ranch has five wells on the Forest ranging in depth from 180 to 300 feet. The wells are pumped by submersible pump with solar panels. There are numerous earthen stock tanks scattered throughout the Ranch. There are four wells on the private land with one being used for irrigation of the pasture.
Utilities
The property uses generators for electricity. Telephone and internet service are available via cell and satellite. Water is provided by private well. Sewer service is provided by septic tank. Propane may be delivered by local providers.
