A fourth home is a lodge home- 4,200 sq ft. 5 bdrm 3 bath custom design/build ground source heating and many additional features. A use agreement with a prior owner is currently in place.
Recreation
The pheasant hunting on this property is phenomenal, with the addition of food plots around the shelterbelts it could be made even better.
Whitetail and mule deer hunting in Perkins County is fantastic. The same can be said for antelope.
Shadehill Reservoir is less than an hour away. This 4600 acre reservoir offers full camping amenities as well as great walleye, smallmouth bass, channel catfish, yellow perch and northern pike.
Beautiful Lake Oahe and Mobridge, SD is about 2 hours to the east.
Rapid City and the gateway to the Black Hills is 2 1/2 hours to the south west.

The ranch is well-fenced with 4 and 6-high tensile barbed wire as well as thousands of feet of steel pipe fencing on the pens closer to the farm. This ranch offers multiple corrals with shelters. Not only does it come with fantastic windbreaks and calving barns but this ranch has ample amounts of feed and grain storage as well as multiple shops perfect for storing equipment year-round. Region & Climate
Average annual precipitation, (1981 to 2010), was 17.65 inches, with most of that falling between March and September. The snowfall averages 45 inches annually, little of which remains on the ground for more than a few days. Winter days are generally sunny with the coldest month being January with an average high temperature of 28 degrees. Summers consist of warm days and cool evenings. Average high temperature in July is 87 degrees and the average low is 60. Growing season is approximately 153 days. Elevation at the ranch ranges from 2600 feet to 2800 feet.
History
The McKnight Ranch was formally known as Hoff Scotch Cap Angus Ranch, a well-established Angus seed stock operation in the northern plains. The ranch was built to meet all needs of a cattle operation from feed to finish.
This ranch is the jewel of a lifetime farming and ranching by Stanley McKnight, who previously had been in production agriculture in Butte County and then Sully County South Dakota.
