Close by in Venango County you can visit the historical site where the first commercial oil well was completed.
The Pennsylvania Wilds area provides the outdoor enthusiast many opportunities for adventures. Included in this region you will find the Allegheny National Forest that has over 500,000 acres to explore. The National Forest spans over 4 counties including Elk County, Forest County, McKean County, and Warren County.
One should also visit the Pine Creek Gorge or sometimes referred to The Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania that is located within the Tioga State Forest. There are other state forests you should travel to including Susquehannock State Forest, Sproul State Forest, and Moshannon State Forest.
