PRIME HUNTING LAND. Nestled along the southwestern border of Mississippi is this prime piece of hunting land. Despite having more than 1,700 feet of frontage on the Pearl River, fewer than 50 acres are in the FEMA flood plain. This leaves plenty of dry ground for a hunting camp or country estate home. Electric power in this area is available through Coast EPA. PR349 is in the Poplarville Separate Municipal School District. Pearl River Community College is also located in nearby Poplarville.

HUNTING, FISHING, OUTDOOR RECREATION: PR349 offers a wide variety of opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. Plenty of frontage along the Pearl River allows for boating and fishing. Run a trot line for catfish or cruise along this major South Mississippi/Louisiana waterway for a day of relaxing fun. The one-acre pond also offers the chance to wet a hook without firing up the boat.
Hunting in this area is outstanding. Whitetail deer, turkey, quail, and small game are abundant in this area. Nearly one mile of powerline cutover provides long sight lines for hunting or target practice. Good internal roads offer access throughout the property. This road system is also great for four-wheeling.
Additionally, PR349 is in the North American (Mississippi) Waterfowl Migration Flyway. Wood ducks and migrant gadwalls, mallards, bluebills, and ringnecks are among the many duck species that can be found in this area. The sites proximity to the Pearl River, plus the tracts one-acre pond provide the perfect setting for hunting waterfowl.
LOCATION. PR349 is situated 16 miles west of both Poplarville and Lumberton on Mississippi Highway 43. It is 35 miles north of Picayune and 20 northeast of Bogalusa, LA. Distances from other metropolitan areas are: Mississippi Gulf Coast 60 miles, New Orleans, LA 85 miles, Mobile, AL 125 miles.
