Architect Adrian Malone spent three years planning the main residence. His goal was to have each of its windows frame a different perspective and set of mountain peaks. Built into the rolling hillside with an exterior of native stone and rustic wood siding the home blends in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Its unique floor plan is designed for luxury living with a mezzanine above the living room and an entrance hall that provide gallery space. Its unique floor plan includes a living room with large masonry fireplace, two guest bedrooms and baths, dining room, kitchen, pantry, and breakfast room. The master bedroom suite includes two bathrooms, a study, and a masonry fireplace. Ample outdoor decks exist to absorb the 360 degree views. The lower level has an attached two-car garage and a separately plumbed and heated two-bedroom apartment.
The Four Bear Ranch was one of Cody's early dude ranches that brought guests from the East Coast and Europe into the newly explored Yellowstone Park region. The Antlers Cabin is one of the original dude ranch buildings and is used primarily for parties. It contains an historic antique bar in one large room, with bathroom facilities attached.
The Olive Fell house was the original owner's residence and is an attractive 2936 sq. ft. log home with exceptional views. It contains a living room, studio, kitchen, dining room, three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a full attic and a large pantry/storage area. It has been fully restored to its original design.
The Caretaker's house is a simple well-built two-bedroom home of approximately 1010 sq. ft. with a detached two-car garage and a full basement.
Jim Creek crashes down the west side of the ranch and a series of spring-fed lakes stair-step down across the property. Riding trails off the back of the ranch traverse some of the most spectacular high mountain country to be found in Wyoming. The Four Bear Ranch is renowned as winter habitat for big game species of elk, deer, and moose in addition to year round populations of small game and bird species. The open rolling terrain of the federal lands above the ranch provide easy private access to a huge and varied high mountain country waiting to be enjoyed by ranch residents and guests.

The Four Bear Ranch is located east of Yellowstone National Park and approximately twenty miles west of Cody, Wyoming. A private graveled road continues into the ranch to serve the three residences. The ranch is situated along Jim Creek and one of its small spring-fed tributaries at the very base of Jim Mountain. The north boundary and part of the west boundary abut federal land, primarily the Shoshone National Forest. Essentially the ranch lies within its own drainage basin, is totally hidden from view, and overlooks the rugged peaks and lush high country of the Absaroka Range and the spectacular Wapiti Valley.
The area between Cody, Wyoming and Yellowstone National Park enjoys a high dry climate with a large percentage of clear sunny days. This unique locale attracted individuals from all over the world.
