History
Founded in the late 19th century, Rocky Ford has a rich history tied to agriculture and the development of the railroad. It became a significant shipping point for produce, particularly melons, which earned the town the nickname Melon Capital of the World.

The ranch is situated between Manzanola and Rocky Ford Colorado. Manzanola is 44 miles east of Pueblo Colorado via Highway 50. Pueblo has an estimated population of 110,000 and is the shopping and cultural center of the region.
