The land is also within a short drive to state forestlands for hunting, hiking and cross country skiing. Its also minutes away from the Salmon River Reservoir for boating and fishing (largemouth and smallmouth bass, brown, brook and rainbow trout). The nearby Salmon River is widely known for its fantastic chinook (king) salmon runs each fall, as well as steelhead fishing and brown trout fisheries.
