Anyone that has driven Highway 27 between Little Falls and Long Prairie will tell you that the mixture of rolling wooded hills, larger thick swamp seclusion areas, meadow/pasture, and tillable ground are some of the predominant land features of the area and given so, provide some ideal whitetail habitat for not only numbers but large mature bucks. Why? Again, and we all know that good diverse habitat will give you the numbers and then it comes down to management or just sheer size of seclusion swamp areas for bucks to be able to escape pressure and grow to their full potential. Now imagine a property that not only has its seclusion cover aspects but is also part of a much more significant over 1,000-acre seclusion core habitat area, has cropland on the neighboring properties and you own a property positioned between the two. These aspects are what this property has on it and is set up to catch deer traveling from bedding to food and vice versa. Just look at the aerials or go to the “Interactive Map” and hit “go to map” to zoom in/out on the property and you will see that there is ample cropland to the east and the “Irish Creek” Tamarack swamp area which is on the property and stretches to the west/southwest off the property. Also feel free to click on the picture icons on the interactive map and as you can see from the trail, I walked basically the entire “loop” of the property and the deer sign is crazy and one if you zoom in can see the trails through the swamp. Access to the property is off of 20th Avenue N to the property. The property keep in mind also sits north of Highway 27 just into the rifle zone and also in deer zone area 214 which for 2018 was an intensive harvest permit area which isn’t a shock. I wouldn’t rule out at all the ability to also have a good shot at harvesting a bear or turkey much less the ability to go out and do some serious shed hunting!! So much more to say so please, give me a call and I’d love to talk more about this great property!
