This parcel is a “VERY RARE” find with no perimeter or public roads. It contains most of the timber for several sections of land bordered by lush corn and bean fields and a very large thick swamp to the south that acts as a bedding and breeding area as well as excellent fawning grounds. On my recent visit to the property I personally watched upwards of 70+ deer leave the bedding area and travel directly through a 10-acre alfalfa field next to the house. Approximately â…“ of those deer had antlers. Not a scene you see every day in Michigan. On my next visit, I again saw almost an instant replay except there was a group of 20+ deer directly south of the house in the timber feeding just before dark. The owner has had the land in the family for over 60 years and it is easy to see why once you set foot on the ground. The current owner and his nephew, the only two hunters on the parcel for the...

On my next visit, I again saw almost an instant replay except there was a group of 20+ deer directly south of the house in the timber feeding just before dark. The owner has had the land in the family for over 60 years and it is easy to see why once you set foot on the ground. The current owner and his nephew, the only two hunters on the parcel for the past 8-10 years, have taken several deer in the 150’s and even one in the 160’s. The neighbor to the east is a non-resident of the area and rarely if ever hunts his land as well. The house is the perfect country home with a beautiful wood stove in the living room as well as walls of glass to observe the deer and wildlife every day. The pond sitting next to the house stocked with bluegill and some bass sets off this home. The wrap around deck is the perfect place to enjoy your favorite libation. The deer sign is ridiculous, with rubs and scrapes everywhere not to mention the age of the herd. It has been seriously managed to become a “big buck haven” and seeing is believing. I see a lot of land in central Michigan and this is by far the best deer property I have been privileged to walk on.
