RECREATION
The recreational possibilities for High Mountain Retreat are outstanding. There are several ATV trails all around the property, and ATV riding, dirt bike riding, mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking and rock climbing are also available for the outdoor enthusiast.
This is an outstanding hunting property and is the right size and terrain for several other shooting sports including paintball-Airsoft-Laser tag-archery tag, shotgun sport shooting including skeet, trap, double trap and sporting clays, rifle & handgun shooting: bullseye, silhouette, western, bench rest, long-range, fast draw, archery and Crossbow competition shooting, and plain ole plinking: Grandpa's old 22 single shot rifle and a few tin cans make a fun day.

High Mountain Retreats timber resource is composed of high-quality Appalachian Hardwoods. This well-maintained timber resource can provide a great deal of flexibility to the next ownership. Capital timber value of the timber and pulpwood has not yet been determined. The forest has predominately well-drained upland terrain which has led to a resource dominated by hardwood species. Overall, the species composition is highly desirable and favors Appalachian Hardwood types consisting of primarily black walnut, sugar maple, poplar, basswood, red oak groups, white oak and chestnut oak, soft maple, hickory, and a host of associated species.
AGRICULTURAL RESOURCES
There were old farm fields on the property that have grown up. These fields could be cleared very easily for pasture or a large garden.
