This parcel is very isolated without a soul around for miles it seems. The route to get there is actually easy, but hard to find. After leaving US93 onto Cottonwood Road, you drive 7-8 miles until you reach a road where there is a large set of signs (we provided images on our map). You follow this smaller, two-track road for a few miles and make a few turns (also noted on our map). The last leg of the drive is onto a two-track road that is visible on the satellite view, but less visible on the ground. We drove over the intersection a dozen times to try to ...

We drove over the intersection a dozen times to try to force an intersection into existence. Nevertheless, if someone places the coordinates of 35.513303,-114.469068 into GPS, thats the spot to turn and head South to the parcel. This last leg will require some skill to navigate over the virgin terrain, but the ground is not likely to get anyone stuck. Our photographer navigated the path quite easily with a 2 wheel drive SUV.
The parcel itself is on the slope from the nearby mountains, but is relatively flat with some dips from washes which likely fill up during monsoons. The property is relatively close to the highway about 25 mins but far enough away that you dont hear the noise. Kingman is another 25 minutes, once you reach US 93 and has all the resources anyone would need. Vegas, is another hour and some change to the North.
There are no utilities near this parcel, but solar and wind generators would be very useful here. Cell service here was good with T-Mobile. Kingman, Arizona
This city has over 60 buildings on the National Historic Register and is frequently referred to as the Heart of Historic Route 66. It has a storied history and has been a unique stop over for many people. Clark Gable and Carol Lombard got married in Kingman. In 1928, Charles Linbergh (the first pilot to solo the Atlantic) made a stop in Kingman. This stop was made during the first 48 hour air mail service between New York and Los Angeles.
Kingman is also known for its strong economic streams in tourism, manufacturing, distribution and transportation. A major factor in the current growth of city is the climate. Summers are more moderate than many parts of Arizona, and the winters seldom see snow. If it does snow, you can usually wait an hour and it will be melted off.
Lake Mohave
Lake Mohave was created in 1951 following the construction of Davis Dam on the Colorado River southeast of Las Vegas. The upper 20 miles of the reservoir is cold year round due to deep water releases from Hoover Dam. This section lies within the narrow walls of Black Canyon. The remainder of the reservoir is seasonally warm and more open, with the widest section being Cottonwood Basin.
There are three marinas with launch ramps, two in Arizona (Willow Beach and Katherines Landing) and one in Nevada (Cottonwood Cove). Game fish species include striper, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, bluegill sunfish, crappie, and channel catfish. The best time of the year to fish for striped bass is April through November with the peak in October. For largemouth bass, March through June is generally best, and for rainbow trout anytime.
