The predominant cover is shinnery and mesquite, creating an ideal habitat for bobwhite quail. Water: There are six electric water wells on the ranch, some producing good quantities of water. There are four pipelines that utilize these wells for quail waterings, which are currently in place on the property. These waterlines are of good PVC construction. Totally, there are 27 quail waterings on the property.
Hunting/Recreation: The ranch has been setup for quail hunting, and the bobwhite quail populations on the ranch are excellent. The shredded lanes mentioned above provide excellent hunting lanes for bird dogs, and the disturbance in the soils has greatly enhanced the hunting.
