Historic Bray's Mill was built in 1862 and soon became the focal for point for a growing community of settlers in the "Richwoods" Township of Miller County. The water-powered grist mill was fed by three cool water springs coming from the hillside behind the mill. Bray's Mill was a busy place during harvest season, where wheat and corn were ground for locals. The mill was also the site of many other businesses which carried on a deep tradition until the early 1940's. Countless antiques, articles about Bray's Mill, and other pieces of history are still on display at the mill today.

In the early 1980's, they mill was purchased and developed into a 4,000 square foot home and has recently been the site of a bed and breakfast. Much of the original construction and rustic beams and stonework are still intact today. The original great wheel, constructed in Pennsylvania and all of the working parts of the mill are still intact and with a little renovation work could be restored and brought back to life.
Bray's Mill sits along Bray's Mill Road on 62 acres of hardwood ridges and ravines. The property's hilly landscape have a variety of oaks, hickories and walnut trees which cover most of the 62 acres. Trails and clearings for food plots provide a spectacular opportunity for trophy deer and turkey hunting. The springs emerge from the steep hillside in the heart of the 62 acres providing an excellent water source and opportunity to restore the hydrology that this historic heritage was developed around.
