The deer bed here and travel to the connecting corn and sugar beet fields to the west on a daily and nightly basis. There are 3 existing food plots as well and a pond on the north end of the property. The deer numbers are high as QDM has been in force for about 6 years with an eye on harvesting 4 yr. olds and older. During my walk of the property on 10/23 I saw several scrapes open and rubs as well. I also bounced out a basket rack 8 point from the edge of one of the food plots. I also jumped 4 woodcock from the trail/road edge that leads from south to north along the edge of the parcel. The turkeys appear to roost along the corn field and drainage ditch edges. There were several areas where the turkeys had scratched large bare spots in the leaves in the search for food. There are also some areas to set a camper or to even build a cabin.
