This region of Colorado is known for its high elk populationsoffering hunters an excellent chance of harvesting both bull and cow elk.Located in game management unit 421, over-the-counter elk tags are availablefor archery, 2nd rifle, and 3rd rifle season. Unit 421 is classified as a ListB unit which means depending on the season you are hunting; a hunter canharvest an additional antlerless elk so opportunities to harvest 2 elk perhunter are possible. Other species found on the ranch include Merriam turkeys,mountain lion, coyote, and bobcat.
Plateau Creek flows throughnearly the entire ranch giving you access to nearly 3/4 mile of both sides ofthe creek. Plateau Creek is known for an early runoff that can hold some greattrout fishing and the creek is a tributary of the Colorado River.
