Historic Attractions Menard has a legacy of rich historic attractions. The ruins of the Presidio de San Luis de las Amarillas built in 1757 and Fort McKavett built in 1852 give you a unique glimpse into our Texas heritage. The Menardville Museum is housed in the old Santa Fe Railroad Depot building (built in 1912) and displays local history.
