Wildlife: Native wildlife on the Comanche Creek Ranch is healthy including dove, quail and turkey. The native whitetail deer herd has been removed and superior genetics are being introduced on the ranch. The owner has released blackbuck antelope and deer onto the ranch which will serve as an exceptional foundation for many years to come. Detailed information on genetics of deer released is available upon request. The ranch is level III MLD.
Water: The ranch has five ponds, approximately one mile of the wet-weather Comanche Creek and five water troughs. The ponds range in size from acre to 2 acres and stocked with fish. There is one electric Edwards water well that services the ranch with underground water piped to all of the ponds. Pond 1 & 2 are on a float system which maintains ponds at a constant water level. Ponds 3, 4 & 5 are on an electronic timed valve system allowing water to be pumped to these 3 wells daily to help maintain a constant water level.
