DESCRIPTION: The Domino West is the definition of a fine Hill Country ranch. You will find a very spacious one bed/1 bath owner's cabin apartment on the compound's opposite side. WATER: There are three Edwards water wells on the property, two electric and a newly-drilled solar well. These wells service the multiple water stations on the ranch and are connected by miles of 1-inch Schedule 40 Poly Pipe. One of the unique features of the ranch is the manufactured earthen ponds scattered across
the property. These ponds have water piped to them and are set with floats to maintain a constant level. There is a SAWS water conservation easement.
WILDLIFE: After decades of heavy management, the whitetail herd at Domino Ranch boasts world-class genetics. A definite highlight, this herd means trophy class animals yearly. TERRAIN & HABITAT: The ranch encompasses the best of the Texas Hill Country terrain. There are over 300 feet of elevation change across the property from gentle oak-lined bottoms to high hilltops. The Lookout is set on top of the ranch's highest point and easily accessible by vehicle. From this vantage point, the views defy description. A good portion of the farm has been cleared and manicured. This has resulted in tall lush grass growing along most roads and open fields. These open spaces are dotted with large oak and other hardwood trees. Much of the ranch has been left untouched with a thick native brush and excellent browse for wildlife.
LOCATION: The Domino West Ranch is located 12 miles north of Dhanis. Take FM 1796, turn right on CR 321, and follow it to where the blacktop begins. You will then follow the private road until you have arrived at the front gate. The San Antonio International Airport is approximately an hour and a half drive from the front gate, and the South Texas Regional Airport, located in Hondo, is a short 30-minute drive.
