Spectacular Sundstrom Island! This 24x32 Cedar River log cabin is located on a 1.68 acre island in Lake Michigamme. With 4,300 acres of water, this is one of the largest lakes in Michigan - there are 95 miles of shoreline, 27 islands, bays, coves, and points to explore. Just off the shore of the island is a rocky drop leading to the flats that are close to shore where a rocky point and underwater piles make this one of the best year round fishing spots for Largemouth Bass, Walleye and Pike. (Other lake species include Blue gill, Crappies, Perch, Silver muskie, Tiger muskie, Walleye, and Whitefish.) Popular activities on the lake are boating, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, waterskiing, and wakeboarding. Winter is great here for snowshoeing, X-County skiing, and snowmobiling. Quiet sport enthusiasts love hiking the sand pebble beach, and biking on the main land. The custom cabin has a wrap-around porch-deck for reading, relaxing, and catching glimpses of the eagles that soar above.
