Roseland

Roseland Historic Farm is located in Marengo County in Southwest Alabama, one of the most desirable areas in the country for hunting whitetail deer, turkey, dove and quail. Its 516 acres are a mix of hardwood stands, cedar glades and approximately 200 acres of gently rolling fields and pastures. The centerpiece of the property is a 17 acre lake stocked with bass and bream, which could be developed for waterfowl hunting. Overlooking the lake is the original plantation site dating to 1830, landscaped with a covered outdoor grill and entertainment area and surrounded by historic outbuildings restored as cabins for weekend retreats. The restoration project, which won an award from the Alabama Trust for Historic preservation, includes two fully conditioned hunting cabins, each with a bedroom, full bathroom and cooking facilities.
