Conservation: 207 acres of the Hardaway Tract is protected by the Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) through the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS). In the WRP area there are several large duck ponds with water management controls in place to allow strategic flooding of areas for waterfowl.
