SITE: 40 acres off-grid of a diverse terrain offering excellent wildlife habitat potential, timber and recreational use. The property lies on the northwestern slope of Sugar Loaf Mountain, a very focal point for the area. The property has a large canyon running diagonal from NW to SE, creating a very diverse terrain. There are two dominant peaks at the NE and SE corners of the property, providing outstanding vista views of the river valley to the west and north. Several rock outcroppings, springs and meandering shelves makes it an outdoor marvel. The west side provides a very good access to the property for vehicles, and also a good area for cabin sites. The elevation ranges from just below 900 where the canyon exits the property to just over 1300 at the highest point. This peak is on the point coming off of the Oklahoma Peak, a landmark for the mountain and a little over a mile further up the mountain.
COVER: A mixture of mature hardwood and pine. This property has not been logged for generations, and adds to the prestige of the site.
ACCESS: Access is by private road approximately two miles from a locked gate leaving the county maintained road.
WILDLIFE: Whitetail deer, eastern wild turkey, wild hog, small game, and bear are reported in this region. Excellent wildlife area due to isolation from public roads.
MINERALS: none
IMPROVEMENTS: none
WATER/STREAMS: Wet weather streams.
COMMENTS: An isolated tract for privacy and outdoor enjoyment. A great place to harvest that ole mossy horn or long beard away from the hunt pressured areas, or just enjoy natures beauty at its finest. Spend the day hiking up to the Oklahoma Point, or even further to the Sugar Loaf point, the view is totally awesome! This is a good opportunity to own your own hunting and get-a-way-from-it-all at a decent price.
