The top of the mountain has lots of mostly level to gently sloping land while the North and South portions have moderate to steeper slopes running down the side of the mountain. The maximum elevation is about 2,400 msl and the lowest elevation is about 1,900 msl (see attached topo map for terrain features). Atop the mountain you will find a mix of berries such as black berries, huckleberries, wild plums and black haw trees that produce edible fruit for the wildlife. There is good grass for the deer. Food plots can be found atop the mountain in several places. There is a nice stand of pine timber for future harvest and income potential. Timber tonnage increases each year so the value will be increasing as time passes.
The timber industry is one of the leading economic factors in SE Oklahoma.
