Tucked away in the northwest corner of Alabama, and as secluded as it sounds is the small town called Waterloo. Probably known best to outsiders as the point on the Trail of Tears that Cherokee Native Americans were shipped to Oklahoma and the Midwest by the Indian Removal Act of 1830, and more recently as the terminus of the commemorative Trail of Tears motorcycle ride. It is just as well known locally for its beautiful views along the Tennessee River, access to incredible fishing from the public launch in the city, Waterloo Lodge, thousands of acres of public hunting in the Lauderdale Wildlife Management Area, and two primitive campgrounds within the city limits.

Only two miles north of the town is our property being offered for sale. On the east side of County Road 14 are approximately 7 acres (according to tax maps), most of which were used as fields in the past. The eastern boundary is Bumpass Creek, a stunningly beautiful, cool source of recreation all year long. Power water and phone service (does anybody use land lines anymore?) are all at the county road and there is a building site at the top of this parcel that would be ideal for a small cabin or more.
The property is approximately 22 miles from Points of Pickwick, TN; 26 miles from Florence, AL; and 13 miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway.
