This 160 acres is a rolling mix of pasture/timber/brush. There is a nice 13 acre hay meadow on the SW corner that lays nice and flat and could be turned back into tillable production. There is a nice big 3/4 of an acre pond located in the NE corner of the property that is known to hold a lot of wintering waterfowl as well as supply plenty of water for stock. 2 wet weather drainages cut across the farm and will run a little water for several weeks after a wet period. And finally a nice small stock pond is located behind the old homestead on the South side of the property.
The grasses are a mix of fescue/native/crabgrass and some legumes such as clovers and lespedeza. The property has had cattle on it until just a few weeks ago. The cattle have been grazing the entire 320 acres so the North boundary fence of this 160 acres will likely need some repair before placing your own stock in it.
The deer and turkey hunting on this farm are outstanding with plenty of places for them to hide. The rolling terrain gives them the many travel routes needed to move about undetected. This area of SE KS is known to harbor some giant Whitetail Bucks and there is a healthy population of Rio Grande Turkeys.
