If you’re looking for that affordable hunting property this could be it! This property had a fair amount of deer sign given the fresh snow. I also spotted a great rub along with one of the areas with the freshest tracks. The property has a mix of high and low ground. The higher ground on the southern portion is basically grass/meadow with brush mixed. Then a second opening farther to the west with a mix of different timber. The conifer areas seemed to hold the most deer sign given the time of year. Between the higher ground on the southern portion and the spruce swamp-type stuff to the north is a band of alder brush-type cover. This gives a nice edge for deer to follow as well as other game. The higher ground areas would be awesome for food plots. On the NE part of the property is a mix of timber and small openings. Over on this side was also a fair amount of deer sign given the fresh snow. They seemed to follow the edge of the timber between Highway 53 and the railroad tracks which creates a natural funnel. In between Highway 53 and County Road, 110 is a pond. There is a little bit less steep ditch over by the SE corner area where a person could potentially create a driveway to get pulled off the road and bring in a camper to set up camp. The property also borders county tax forfeit lands on two edges so a person could spread out and hunt some extra ground.
