This ranch is owned by a Pioneer Texas Family that arrived in the area in the early 1820s with Moses Austin and the first Texas Colonists. The ranch is currently devoted exclusively to native and exotic wildlife. There have been no cattle on the ranch in fifteen years. For the last ten years the ranch has operated as an MLD3 under Texas Parks and Wildlife regulations.
The Ranch has a perimeter high fence and no internal fences. There is a catch facility located on the south fence line for catching exotics for sale and trade. There are three water holes (two solar powered and one electric). There is a dry lake (due to drought) that was approximately fifteen acres in the early 2000s. The ranch has a four bedroom three bath doublewide home with a large porch on the back, a 24 X 24 foot office building, a 60X30 car shed/shop and a 60 X 20 implement shed. The shop has an 8 X 6 walk in deer cooler and stainless steel processing facilities. There is a game hanging rack with four hand wenches for gutting and skinning of game.
