This 1340 sf log cabin was built in 1960 in a unique area of the Southern Utah Mountains overlooking Navajo Lake, complete with 1 bedroom on the main level and an open upper loft with additional sleeping quarters. The cabin is laid out with capacity of accommodating a group up to 10 people comfortably. The focal point of the cabin is the original rocked fireplace separating the kitchen from the living room.
The cabin has been remodeled to make mountain life comfortable; a new septic system, a dormer window adding light and lake views from the loft, a pot belly stove was added to keep the cabin warm and toasty and a 4X8 attached storage shed.
Included with this cabin are: a gas stove and fridge, a microwave, satellite dish, generator and a 12 volt battery system. Seasonal water is piped to the cabin and there is an additional 300 gal water storage backup system.

This cabin sits in the mist of the National Forest overlooking beautiful Navajo Lake. It comes with a land use permit between the owners and the Forest Service. The 20 year permit was approved in April 2008. A seasonal water system is in the area and piped into the cabin. The cabin comes furnished and ready to enjoy. Navajo Lake is located in the heart of the Dixie National Forest above Cedar City Utah. It is surrounded by lush meadows and dense aspen and pine forest.
Navajo Lake offers a leisurely atmosphere. There are small fishing boats and fish in abundance in the lake, trails that run nearly the entire length on the lake. There is lodging available at the lake for any additional guest that comes to visit. Sitting at approx 9500 elevation Navajo Lake enjoys a spectacular summer season. The warmest time of the year brings temps in the 80s to the night cool down in the 50s. Through the winter highs are generally in the 40s, and winter nights in the teens. The autumn season bring the area alive with colors of the changing aspens trees. For the avid hiker the Virgin River Rim Trail runs along the rim of mountains that surrounds Navajo Lake. This trail is set up for hiking, biking or horseback riding. Also the famous Zion Narrow Trail leading into Zion National Park is not far from this area. Another beautiful area to enjoy is Cascade Falls. This unique water fall is formed by fissures that are in the rock under the lake which act as natural drainage and spills out several miles away at Duck Creek and in the middle of the mountainside at Cascade Falls.
