For the sportsperson, this area is second to none with regard to world class brown trout fishing. Stony Creek is small tributary river that flows into Lake Ontario just south of Stony Point. Wild Chinook Salmon make their spawning run from September through November. Wild steel head enters the creek in November and are present through April, when their spawning season is over. From your dock a 5 minute boat ride puts you in 100 ft of water where the brown trout fishing is second to none. Bass fishing and Walleye fishing is very popular in the summer in the bay also. Ducks and Geese are very abundant and there is even a herd of whitetail deer that also visit the peninsula sanctuary.
