400 acres hunting tract - new and old hardwood cutover south of Chatham, LA
This tract has approximately 200 acres of 5-6 year old cutover on the east side of the creek. Approximately 20 acres of mixed hardwoods remain in the northernmost 40.
The 178 acres of hardwood timber has been marked and sold on the west side of the creek. All sawlogs will be taken. All pulpwood will remain. Remaining timber will serve as seeding for hardwood regeneration.
There is good surrounding habitat to make this a strong deer, turkey, and hog hunting property. The property is about 2 miles southeast of Caney Creek Reservoir. There are no utilities on the property.
