Terrain: With 180+/- feet of elevation change the Lone Mountain Ranch feels even bigger than it is with numerous Daws and hilltops. The soils found on the ranch are common for the area and include: Purves clay, Windthorst fine sandy loam, Slidell clay, Duffau fine sandy loam, Denton silty clay, Wise clay loam, Tarpley clay loam, Sunev clay loam, Krum clay, Hassee fine sandy loam, Frio silty clay loam, Crawford silty clay, Bolar clay loam, and Cranfill gravelly clay loam.

Water: The ranch has 7 existing ponds and the terrain has two large lake sites with more than adequate watershed to fill them.

Wildlife: The ranch is home to whitetail deer, turkey, dove and a small population of quail. Hamilton County is famous for dove hunting and they hold an annual Dovefest celebration every year. The ranch is game fenced and ready for the new owner to establish their wildlife management program. There are 6 professional grade blinds and 6 feeders.

Habitat: Live Oak, Post Oak, Ashe Juniper, Cedar Elm and Hackberry are the predominate tree cover, along with plenty of woody browse such as elbowbrush and sumac. Forbs are plentiful and there is a field on the south side that would be perfect for a large food plot or sunflowers.

Fencing and Roads: The ranch has approximately 7 miles of perimeter Game Fencing, along with internal barb wire cross fencing. There is a good system of trails and roads to navigate the ranch.
